Former students and graduates of #11 school after Griboyedov A.S. in Vanadzor, Armenia,
We apply for your help!
During 1988 earthquake the central building of our school was destroyed. Only the smaller part of it remained undamaged. After the earthquake it was reconstructed and since then the whole school work in this small area. There are 41 forms, 20 of which are Russian–language classes, the rest of them are with profound study of Russian It should be mentioned that our school is the only one with Russian-language classes in Vanadzor. We have a great number of students arrived from Russia. They had to leave Armenia with their parents under different circumstances and then returned to their native town.
The number of the students in class differs from 38 to 42 and it isn’t quite uncommon when 3 pupils sit at one desk. We had to arrange the classes’ process in 3 turns.
Our school has got a certain number of desktop computers, but the using of them at the lessons is almost impossible because of space shortage. Schooling conditions don’t go with the time, especially concerning Science classes. We managed to preserve the equipment of the labs partly, but still using of the stuff is impossible as the classrooms aren’t large enough for this kind of work. We practically haven’t got room for that.
The construction of a new building will allow conducting the lessons according to the modern demands on the teaching process.
With the help of teachers, parents and former students we built in the heating system in the school.
With great pleasure we establish the fact that the part of our graduates and parents have responded to our action and have endowed money.
